Entertainer and political expert David Anoledjeme has said the Ministry of Tourism’s launch of Agya Koo TV and Daddy Lumba TV yesterday is a step in a right direction and should be not politicized.
Prior to the launch ,the announcement made by the Tourism Minister Madame Catherine Afeko to unveil Agya Koo TV and Daddy Lumba TV when she addressed the media at the Meet the Press event at the Ministry of Information on Monday 29th January, has raised some concerns by the general public and some entertainment critics in the industry.
Commenting on the issue, on a Kasoa based online radio station Supreme Africa Radio with Super Asante on Showbiz on Friday, 1st February. Mr Anoledjeme lauded the decision made by the Ministry of Tourism to project the Ghanaian culture to the western world through these medium. He added that it unhealthy if this great initiative by Madame Catherine Afeko is politicized.
He described, Agya Koo and Daddy Lumba as iconic personalities in the creative art industry. The entertainment expert said; “it’s about time we sell our own”. According to him, this ideology must be looked into holistically to avoid any political impression.
He appealed to actors and artistes to rally around this initiative made by the government to put Ghana in the limelight. Agya Koo TV and Daddy Lumba TV will run on mobile phones.
