Highlife is not dead-Paa Kwesi

The “Hun” hit marker artiste Paa Kwesi of double fame has said highlife is not dead he tells Ghanaians. Highlife music has been in the shadows for long time but there seem to be a revival in highlife music.

Speaking to Supa Asante on Showbiz Today on Supreme Africa Radio, he stated that songs released by Kwami Eugene ,Kidi, Sarkodie, Bisa Kdei,King Promise, Adina  and others added their style to the continuous growth of the genre.

Previously, highlife music has seen a decline in the music industry. The famous “As33te” artiste has said the strong fight for highlife has brought highlife back to life recently. He revealed that his biggest “Hun” contributed to the upsurge in highlife music.

He urged upcoming artiste not to shy aware from highlife because of the stigmatization made by the public. He admonishes generational artiste not to feel inferior concerning the genre highlife.

He expressed satisfaction about the shakeup in highlife and promised Ghanaians that highlife will not go down the drain as it used to be. He encouraged highlife performers underground to up their game and be consistent.
