The local content movie producer Jackson K. Bentum has said that, the state has turned it’s attention away from the creative industry.
Speaking to Supa Asante on Showbiz Today on Supreme Africa Radio, Mr.K Bentum said the film industry is a very big platform for economic and developmental growth for our country.
But Jackson K. Bentum said the politicians have turned their back against the industry which is causing the movie fraternity so much and sometimes leaving film markers stranded .He added that the Ghana Film Theater was sold to a private firm of which it became a big loss to the film makers.
He indicated that,the government has not invested in the entertainment industry rather, leaving their responsibility to private firms which does not speak well of the country.He added that, unlike the western world were their government support their entertainment industry,”Here our leaders have ignored us” he stated.
He urged the government to support the entertainment industry to boost the economy.
